SERVICES & TIMES
Below is a summary of the weekly meetings that take place at Judson. For a schedule of upcoming services and events, see our church calendar.
Sunday Morning
The main gathering of the Christian Church has been on Sunday—the Lord’s Day—since New Testament times. At Judson, our Sunday mornings begin Sunday School at 9:30 AM, continue with coffee and fellowship in our library at 10:30, and culminate with morning worship at 11:00. Our worship service includes singing (a blend of traditional and newer music), reading of God's Word, children's message, corporate prayer, and preaching. Most weeks, the children leave partway through the service for children’s worship. On the first Sunday of each month, we also observe Holy Communion.
Bible Study Groups
Our Men’s Group meets for study and prayer every Sunday evening at 5:30. Our Women’s Group meets every other Saturday morning (see the church calendar). We are still working on re-starting regular aspects of youth and children’s ministries in the wake of the pandemic, but we have begun occasional events for young people and are looking to build these back up to regular meetings in the months ahead.
Other Services
On certain holy days (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, etc.), we have special worship services. These often involve gathering together with Christians of other traditions and denominations. In addition, throughout the year, we have a number of dinners, service opportunities, concerts, and other events (e.g., church picnics, intercultural celebrations, serving through Homeless Angels).
